The record may not use a plain “release reason” label. Ask for the actual movement entry, authority, and destination instead. A court order can explain why an exit was authorized. WVDCR gives no public guarantee that a fully discharged record stays searchable. It also does not promise that every retained record displays a plain released status and actual date. When a result is absent or only projected fields remain, use WVDCR Records, the court order, VINE, and the appropriate supervision office.
Kanawha County Recent Releases
No official Kanawha 24-hour release list, 72-hour release list, or recent-release archive was found. South Central is a WVDCR regional jail, not a Sheriff-operated adult jail. Kanawha County Release Facilities
South Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility is the central adult regional-jail and correctional site. A departure may lead home, to another WVDCR location, to parole processing, or into federal or immigration custody. Charleston Correctional Center and Jail is a community-corrections, work-release, and treatment facility where discharge, supervision, and transfer paths require the prison/OIS record and facility confirmation.
James H. “Tiger” Morton Juvenile Center is geographically relevant but outside this adult released-inmate search. Juvenile information has special confidentiality limits and must not be mixed with the adult lookup methods. The Kanawha County Youth Reporting Center is nonresidential, so reporting there is not proof of adult jail custody or release.
