South Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility

Call South Central for day-of-release logistics and current facility questions. No official source publishes a public release counter schedule, exact exit door, family waiting area, or guaranteed processing time, so verify those details before traveling.

West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation

WVDCR is the custodian for South Central booking and movement records. Its central number is 304-558-2110. Policy Directive 108.01 directs written West Virginia FOIA requests to the Commissioner and requires a reasonably specific description. The research did not identify a stable request email or web form, so call first to confirm the current delivery address and office hours.

Kanawha County Sheriff

Ask the Sheriff only for Sheriff-created arrest, incident, or transport records. The Sheriff does not operate South Central and is not automatically the custodian of its release log.

Kanawha County Circuit Clerk

The clerk is the source for Kanawha circuit case filings and public court orders that may explain a release. A court order supplies legal authority, but the WVDCR movement record establishes the custodial event.
